Eligibility for the Three Division Championships

All participants must have reached their 55th birthday before the first day of the competition. At least two members of a team must be members of the same U.S. curling club. The Chairperson of the event may use his/her discretion in eligibility matters.

To qualify for the Masters Division championship, all team members must be at least 68 years old. To qualify for the Super Seniors Division championship, all team members must be at least 63 years old. The Seniors Division championship will consist of all remaining teams.

Any team that qualifies for either the Masters Division championship or the Super Seniors Division championship may request to be placed in the Seniors Division championship. If more than 16 teams qualify for either the Masters Division championship or the Super Seniors Division championship, the youngest team(s) by average age will drop to the younger division. Conversely, if either the Masters or Super Seniors division has fewer than 16 teams, the oldest teams by average age from the next younger Division will be asked if they care to move up to the older Division in order to fill the 16-team field. For a team with more than four members, average age is calculated from the ages of the four youngest members of the team.

 Eligibility

  1. All participants must have reached their 55th birthday before the first day of competition.  At least two members of any team must be members of the same U.S. club. The Chairman of the event may use his discretion in eligibility matters.
  2. To be eligible for the Masters Division, all team members must be at least 68 years old. The 16 teams with the highest average age will constitute the Masters Division.
  3. To be eligible for the Super Seniors Division, all team members must be at least 63 years old. The next 16 oldest teams, based upon average age, will be placed in the Super Seniors Division.
  4. All other teams will be assigned to the Senior Division, regardless of the teams average age. The only exception being if a team, which otherwise meets the age requirement for either the Super Seniors or Masters Divisions, specifically requests in writing placement in the Senior Division.
  5. The Championship Committee, in consultation with the USSMCA, may modify the number of teams in each Division considering the number of teams entered and their average ages.
